Geraldine A. “Gerry” McClure, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, good-grandmother and fantastic-good-grandmother, age 98, of Alma, Michigan handed away peacefully August 1, 2021 at Spectrum Wellness Hospitals Fred and Lena Meijer Coronary heart Middle in Grand Rapids, Michigan with relatives at her facet. She was born Oct 18, 1922 in Elm Hall, Gratiot County, Michigan the daughter of Claude A. and Letah (Andrews) Davis. On June 24, 1941 she married Harold M. McClure, Jr. in Highland Park, Michigan. Gerry labored at Knapp’s Section Store in Lansing, Michigan and afterwards qualified as a nurse at the Wilcox Clinic in Alma, Michigan. She became the Chairman of the Board of McClure Oil Company from December of 1977, until eventually her dying. Her initially precedence was to guidance and really like her family. Throughout her lifetime, Gerry was included with a lot of civic and charitable businesses including: a longtime member and volunteer at the Initially Methodist Church of Alma, serving on the Alma Public Library Board, a lifetime member of the Alma Woman’s Club, was lively with the Baby Analyze Club and a member of the Japanese Star. She was also a member of the Pine River Region Club, Crystal Lake Yacht Club, Congregational Summer Assembly at Crystal Lake in Northern Michigan and the Crystal Downs Place Club. Gerry was thoughtful, curious, capable, and above all else, appreciated, cared for, and liked her household deeply. She leaves guiding her beloved little ones, Mary Kathleen (Frank) Mace of Dallas, Texas, Marie Kristine (Ron) Christensen of Brunswick, Maine, Elizabeth Karin (Mike) Griffin of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Robert Kevin McClure of Frankfort, Michigan her grandchildren, Kristen Springfield, Kimberely Smith, Michelle Gansell, David Christensen, Cathryn Christensen, Elisabeth Christensen, Matthew Griffin fantastic-grandchildren, Michael Watkins, Jacob Springfield, Kathryn Springfield, Matthew Springfield, Lauren Gansell, Brandon Gansell, Charlie Christensen Niyizonkiza and one wonderful-granddaughter on the way and great-terrific-grandchildren, Makynlee and Emerysn Watkins. A private household assistance will be held for the quick household with interment to comply with at Riverside Cemetery, Alma.
