Obituary for Robert Owen Littlejohn
Robert Owen Littlejohn, passed away on May 27th, 2021, at age 69 in Nashville, TN. He was surrounded by family at the hour of his passing and went in peace to the Lord.
He was born on July 18th, 1951, in Dover, TN. He is survived by his wife Tamara Littlejohn which he shared 24 years together and his mother Nina Wallace. He had retired from a lifetime of over the road truck driving. He spent his retired years fishing, cooking out, and laughing at his grandchildren.
He is also survived by his brothers: Charles (Jr.) (Kathy) Littlejohn, Jeffery (Shonda)Wallace, Michael Wallace, and sister Sheila Wallace Dorris. He is now the guardian angel of his sons: Robert Jr. (Anita) Littlejohn, Jason (Tonya) Littlejohn, Nick (Kristin) French, Tommy Golliher, and his daughter Misty (Francisco) French-Hernandez. He will forever remain in memory as Grandpa/ Poppaw to Michele (Josh) Moreland, Alan (Beth) Littlejohn, Kaylin (Jarred) Barefoot, Matthew (Lexie) Littlejohn, Madelyn (Ryan) Richardson, Jackson Dycus, Jacob French-Hernandez, Jaydan French-Hernandez, Jayly 
“Lil Girl” French-Hernandez, and Rowan French. He also will watch over from above his beautiful great-grandchildren Addie Rae Moreland and Samuel Robert Littlejohn. He was loved and will be missed by many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Charles Sam Littlejohn Sr., his brother Jackie Littlejohn, and his sister Joyce Weaver.
He requested no funeral services in lieu of a celebration of life to be held privately with friends and family on July 25th, 2021.

Obituary for Austin Brown
Austin Daniel Brown “Aus”, age 19, of Adams, Tennesseee, formerly of Wapella, Illinois passed away on Monday, June 28, 2021 at his home.
He graduated from Aaron Academy high school online in 2020 and started working for Kroger. He aspired to go to trade school to be an electrician. He was an avid gamer and taught himself to play the guitar.
As we reflect back on his memories of his time with us, we are reminded of his sarcasm and love for sweets. You could always find a snack and a good laugh in his company.
He is survived by his parents, Christopher and Crystal Brown of Adams, Tennessee; sister, Rebbeca Brown of Cedar City, Utah; paternal grandparents, John and Teri Brown of Hallsville, Illinois; and maternal grandparents, Eddie and Bonnie Merida of Wapella, Illinois.
Private services will be held for the immediate family. They have decided to memorialize him through cremation.

Obituary for Billy Dean Hampton, Sr.
Billy Dean Hampton, Sr., age 73 of Greenbrier, died Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at The Waters of Springfield.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, July 2, 2021 at 3:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel with Rev. Jerry Heflin officiating. Burial followed in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Tyler Clouse, Joe Sartan, Donnie Baggett, Chris Jones, Zack Jones, Lonnie Hampton, and Ronnie Hampton serving as pallbearers. The family received friends at the funeral home Thursday from 4 until 8 PM and Friday from 1 PM until the hour of service.
Mr. Hampton was born June 14, 1948 in Springfield to the late John L. and Evelyn Dunavin Hampton. He was a veteran of the United States Marines. He was a retired truck driver with Dean Oil Company. He loved to watch Atlanta Braves baseball and University of Tennessee football, and watching westerns. He liked to hunt and fish and in his later years loved to play golf. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Sharon Moses Hampton.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Billy Dean and Jennifer Hampton, Jr. of Greenbrier; brothers, Terry Hampton of Clarksville and Harold Hampton of Greenbrier; sister, Shirley Hampton of Greenbrier; grandsons, Billy Dean Hampton III of Springfield and Landry Hampton of Greenbrier; and great grandchildren, Cassidy, Bronson, Ethan, and Easton Hampton, all of Cedar Hill.

Terry “Michael” Scarbrough, age 57 of Ashland City, Tennessee, died Friday, July 2, 2021 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
The family will receive friends for visitation at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View on Wednesday, July 7th from 3-7PM. Burial will take place on Thursday, July 8th at 11:00AM at Memorial Gardens of Wayne County, 1038 Natural Bridge Rd, Waynesboro, Tennessee 38485 with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Michael was born on November 5, 1963 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Johnny Merle & Robbie Jo Kilpatrick Scarbrough. He has worked in construction for over 20 years at Tenant Building Group in Nashville.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Darrell Scarbrough.
He is survived by a son, Matthew Scarbrough; daughter, Brittany (Donald) Cramer; brothers, Anthony (Rhonda) Scarbrough, Steve Scarbrough; sister, Sonja (Kevin) Marks; and grandchildren, Kaiden and Hudson Cramer.

Obituary for Martha Lee Leek Ralph
Nora Martha Leek Ralph, age 87, of Springfield, died on Friday, July 2, 2021 at the Springfield Heights Assisted Living. Martha was born on April 25, 1934 in Robertson County, Tennessee to the late James Marshall and Nannie Mae Williams Leek. She was a retired bookkeeper for Conwood Tobacco Company and a member of Woodland Street United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends and loved working in her Iris bed.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ralph (1986); grandson, Nathan Ralph; sisters, Jewel Jakes and Nellie Simpkins; brother, James Leek.
Martha is survived by her son, Bob Ralph of Adams, Tennessee; daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Richard Johnson of Madison, Alabama; sister, Mary Bass of Florida; grandchildren, Allen Ralph of Nashville and Ethan and wife Morgan Ralph of Springfield; great-grandchildren, Hadley and Harrison Ralph.
There will be a celebration of life that will be announced at a later date this month.

Age 84 of Cottontown passed away Friday, July 2, 2021 at her home. She was born July 28, 1936 in Nashville, TN to Hubert & Geneva Nelson Cooper. She worked as a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Horace Cooper and Harold Cooper. Age 62 of White House passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Skyline Medical Center. He was born October 24, 1958 in Nashville, TN to Robert Lee & Esther Katherine Goins McCarter. He worked as a Trailer Mechanic for Fleetco. He enjoyed fishing and raising tomatoes and vegetables. He collected Eagles and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Obituary for Aubreita Jean Shanes
Aubreita Jean Shanes, age 88, a longtime resident of Hendersonville, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2021. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly. She loved sewing, crafting, quilting, loved to dance, loved to hunt in her younger years and just loved life in general.
Mrs. Shanes was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Harold Shanes; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa “Cricket” and Alan Burroughs; brothers, Ronald K. Waggoner and Donald Ray Waggoner; and a great grandson, Matthew Taylor.
She is survived by her sons, Jerry (Tammy) Shanes and Joel (Dawn) Shanes; daughters, Brenda (Johnny) Allen and Teresa (James) Wilson; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and a sister, Carrie (Jerry) Morris.
The family will receive friends from 4:00pm until 8:00pm on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Hendersonville. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 1:00pm Monday, July 12, 2021 in the funeral home chapel with David Swanger officiating. Burial will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will her grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers are the staff and residents of The Waters of Gallatin.

Mr. Bobby Clarence Cox, age 84 of Springfield, Tennessee, died Sunday June 27, 2021 at the Waters of Springfield.
Funeral services were held at 1 pm on Saturday July 3, 2021 in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Elmwood Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 am till the hour of service at 1 pm.
Mr. Cox was born October 29, 1936 in Springfield to the late Clarence Washington Cox and Martha Catherine Wildmone Cox. A son, Bobby Glenn Cox, grandson, Jeremy Mink, brother, Clifford Cox and sisters Martha Mink and Louise Rippy also preceded him in death. He was a retired forklift operator with Ford Glass Plant, a member of the UAW and loved horses and flying in airplanes.
Surviving him are his wife, Shirley Hulsey Cox of Springfield; son, Jeff Cox of Springfield; daughters, Cindy Hundley of Nashville and Connie Cox of Florida; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronnie and Judy Cox of Greenbrier and Ricky and Janet Cox of Springfield; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue and George Rogers of Orlinda, Tennessee and Cheryl and Don Blankenship of Clarksville, Tennessee; four great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

Mary Ellen Morris Pitt, 91, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday June 27, 2021, at NHC Healthcare in Springfield.
A private family graveside service was conducted Friday July 2nd in the Bethlehem Cemetery with her son, Brother Chuck Pitt, officiating. Family members served as pallbearers. There was no public visitation.
Mrs. Pitt was born December 29, 1929, in Nashville to the late Sim and Madge Burchett Morris. She was retired from the lunch counter at Springfield Drugs and was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ. Mrs. Pitt enjoyed reading, watching TV, cooking, listening to country music, and Square Dancing. She was preceded in death by her sisters: Joanne Harris and Margaret Marks, and by her grandson: Michael Pitt.
Mrs. Pitt is survived by her daughter: Debbie Wooden of Springfield, by her sons: Randy Pitt of Greenbrier, Chuck Pitt of Goodlettsville, Phillip Pitt of Franklin, KY, and Jeff Pitt of Springfield, and by her 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Kelsey Dionna Thaxton, 23, of Springfield, passed from this life on Friday June 25, 2021, at her home.

Interment followed in the Palestine Cemetery with Darrell Thaxton, Dalton Thaxton, Bobby Thaxton, Shane Claborn, Phillip Pentecost, Matthew Evitts, Ryan Bennett, and Mario Fierro serving as pallbearers. The family received friends on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Kelsey was born October 24, 1997, in Springfield. She was a graduate of Springfield High School Class of 2016, where she was a member of the Beta Club. Kelsey worked as a claims adjuster for Quality Resource Management in White House, and she attended Grace Baptist Church in Springfield. She loved Elephants, riding horses, crafts, and her family. The highlight of her life was her daughter, Kaisley, and she was an excellent mother that loved her daughter very much. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Sherry Thaxton, Dennis Wix, and Jesse Pentecost.
Kelsey is survived by her daughter: Kaisley Thaxton of Springfield, by her mother: Jessica Knight of Springfield, by her father and stepmother: Darrell and Tina Thaxton of Springfield, by her brother: Dalton Thaxton of Springfield, by her sister: Alayna Knight of Springfield, and by her grandparents: Dianne Eads of Springfield, Wayne Thaxton of Greenbrier, Randy and Tina Ellis of Springfield, and Lisa Kimberly of Adams.

Obituary for Ruby Klausner
Ruby Pearl Klausner, age 95, of Greenbrier, has gone to be with her Lord and Savior on June 27, 2021.
Ruby played women’s professional softball in the 1940’s during WWII. She worked alongside her husband in the printing business. Her greatest role was her service as a preacher’s wife and prayer warrior alongside her late husband Rev. Bill Klausner for over 40 years. They served in the state of Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee.
She was a devoted wife and mother and survived by sons Craig and Stephen Klausner; daughter-in-laws, Barbara and Mae Klausner; granddaughter Mandi and husband Jason Carter; grandsons, Wesley C. Stephen M. and William C. Klausner and granddaughter Stephanie Klausner and any other beloved family members and friends.
Memorial service will be held at Trinity Church of the Nazarene,1253 Vultee Boulevard Nashville, TN 37217 on Friday July 9, 2021 at 5pm. In lieu of flowers the family has asked for pictures and to share your encounter with the Klausner family.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Cindy Lee Wiser passed away peacefully on June 27, 2021 at 72 years old surrounded by her loving children. Cindy leaves this Earth having lived a life full of laughter and love. Her passion for story-telling was only surpassed by her love of family.
Cindy is survived by her two children, Timothy (Tim) W. Moore (wife: Amy) of Potomac, MD and Tammy Renee (Renee) Bivens of Hendersonville, TN; and her three grandchildren (Christian, Audrey and Davis), all of whom love their Nana.
No public funeral ceremony is planned in keeping with Cindy’s wishes.

Michael “Mike” Wayne Mangrum, age 72 of Nashville, Tennessee, died Saturday, June 26, 2021 at TriStar Ashland City Medical Center.

Mr. Mangrum was born on February 19, 1949 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Charles & Mary Virginia Roberts Mangrum. He was retired as a Landfill Director for Cheatham County. Mike was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and loved & supported all veterans. His spiritual place was Harpeth River State Park Mound Bottom.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Charlie Mangrum, Jr.
Survivors include his daughters, Georgiana Peach (fiancé, Corey Head) and Nikki Roach; brother, James (Lynn) Mangrum; sisters, Eva Lehey and Joyce (Malcom) Furlough; and three grandchildren, Kayla, Abbie, & Raylon.

John Hazey Price, 84, of Greenbrier, passed away on Monday June 21, 2021, at Stoneridge Health Care in Ridgetop.
Funeral services were conducted Monday June 28th at 3:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Brother Marvin Crouch officiating. Interment followed in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Brad Briley, Anthony Garrison, Jon Allen Moore, Chase Hodges, Aaron Price, and Joel Lawson serving as pallbearers. The family received friends on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Price was born on January 31, 1937, in Clay County to the late Benton and Lucy Crawford Price. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Price was a retired machine operator with MacMillan Bloedel and was a member of the Steelworkers Union Local 4802. He attended Hillcrest Church of Christ. Mr. Price loved music, especially playing his guitar. He enjoyed family gatherings and spending time in music and fellowship with each other. One of his favorite pastimes was going to Rivergate Mall to “people watch”.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by the love of his life, his wife, Emma Josephine McCreary Price, by his daughter: Donna Jo Hodges, and by his brothers: Hosey, Hobert, Hovey, and Bill Price. Mr. Price is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Treva and Wade Garrison of Cedar Hill, by his sons and daughter-in-law: Wayne and Holly Price of Greenbrier, Greg Hodges of Greenbrier, and by his 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.

Obituary for Joyce Jean Hummel
Joyce Jean Hummel, age 88, of Hermitage, passed away Monday, June 7, 2021 at Bethany Health and Rehab Center in Nashville. She was an avid cook and baker, and loved to shop and travel, and enjoyed NASCAR. Jean was a devout Richard Petty and Tom Jones fan.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Don Nelson Hummel; and a daughter, Jacqueline Hummel.
Mrs. Hummel is survived by a daughter, Melissa (John) Griffith; grandchildren, Matthew (Sarah) Griffith and Daniel (Taylor) Griffith; great grandchildren, Karena, Lynnette and Pearl Griffith; and a brother, Gary (Joyce) Hicks.

Jack “Scott” Harrison, age 66 of Chapmansboro, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021 at his residence.
Scott was born on June 26, 1955 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Hugh & Peggy Martin Harrison. He retired from New Core Steel Industry.
Survivors include his sons, Will (Emily) Harrison and Barrett (Crystal) Pugh; brothers, Hugh (Melinda) Harrison and Martin (Vicki) Harrison; sister, Celia Mansur; and three grandchildren, Evelyn Harrison, Sadie Pugh and Abbie Pugh.

Obituary for James E. Randall
James Edward Randall was born December 14, 1935, in Terrell, Texas to the late Curtis Randall and Mary Randall. This earthly life came to an end on June 17, 2021, as he went home to be with the Lord.
He professed a hope in Christ at a young age and united with Antioch Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois. He later moved to Springfield, TN and united with Greater South Baptist Church where he faithfully worshipped.
James was employed with National Business List as a shipping supervisor, Sweetheart Cup Company as a machine operator and later became owner/operator of Checker Cab Company, all in Chicago, Illinois. Upon moving to Springfield, TN he was employed with Electrolux.
“Jim” as he was affectionately called, enjoyed doing self-repairs as he could fix almost anything. He loved barbecuing for family and friends. He kept a manicured yard to entertain family and friends in while playing cards. He also loved traveling with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother; two sisters; and one daughter.
“Jim” leaves to cherish his memories: loving and devoted wife, Rebecca Randall; children: Daniel L. Walker, Frederick D. Walker, Carrie Bailiff, Nanetta (Paul) Walker-Mrus, Jamie Brownlee, and Jamell A. (Darine) Randall; sister, Doris Randall; brother, Micial Blackmon; thirteen grandchildren: Tracy, Troy, Melvin, Jordan, Joshua, Justin, A.J., Desirae, Sharee, Jana, Darell, Tamika, and Marla; a host of great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; and special friends, Donald (Myra) Burnett.

Crowder Funeral Home; Funeral Service was Saturday, June 26, 2021, 12 noon at Greater South Baptist Church with Pastor Samuel Stratton, Officiating and Pastor Quincy Randall, his nephew, Eulogy; Interment was in Springfield Memorial Garden.

Obituary for Gary Lynn Moody
Gary Lynn Moody, age 73, of Hendersonville, passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021 at his home.
Gary was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Lynn Hargis Moody; parents, Waldo and Nellie Moody; and a brother, Darryl Moody.
Mr. Moody is survived by his son, Ben Moody; daughters, Hillary (Trey) Hightower, Jennifer Magan (David) Hines, and Ashton (Jason) Painter; grandchildren, Nash, Patrick and Graham Hightower, James Moody, Thomas Hines, and Isaac and Lily Painter; and sisters, Joyce Weaver and Sue Gibson.
The family received friends from 11:00am until time of his Celebration of Life Service at 1:00pm Thursday, July 1, 2021 at the Community Church of Hendersonville with Pastor Doug Varnado officiating.
Services have been entrusted to Austin & Bell Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Hendersonville.
Obituary for Jennie Diane Johnson
Age 41, of White House passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021 at her home. She was born October 5, 1979 in Nashville, TN to William Robert & Marie Owens Weakley. She worked as a waitress, customer service representative and as a dance instructor over the years. But in her more recent years, she worked as a homemaker. She enjoyed football, non-stop shopping, buying name brand purses, especially Michael Kors. Jennie loved to travel. Her happy place was the beach. She loved spending time with her family and friends most of all, and was one of the most generous people in the world. She had been attending White House First Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her father, William Robert Weakley. She is survived by her loving husband of 14-1/2 years, James D. Johnson, White House, TN; sons, James Dale (Ashley) Johnson, Pleasant View, TN, William Dustin Johnson, Nashville, TN, Matthew Dale Johnson and Jonathan Hicks, both of White House, TN; daughter, Stephanie Moyer, Brentwood, TN; mother, Marie Weakley, Nashville, TN’ brothers, Jim (Laura) Weakley, NJ and Barry (Stephanie) Weakley, Atlanta, GA; sisters, Kim (Sam) Miller, Knoxville, TN and Valerie (Robert) Cullen, Mount Juliet, TN; 3 grandchildren, Grace Victoria Johnson, Elijah Michael Davis and Cayden Johnson.
Funeral service was held Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 1pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Bro. Joshua Culver officiating. Interment followed in Bethlehem Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family was held Monday, June 28, 2021 4-8pm and Tuesday, June 29, 2021 10am until the hour of the service at the funeral home.

Obituary for Brent Hamilton West
Brent Hamilton West, age 47, of Springfield passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at his residence.
Funeral services were held at 2pm, Monday, June 28, 2021 at St. Michaels Catholic Church with Father Anthony Lopez officiating. Burial followed in St. Michaels Cemetery with his brother Brian West, cousin Keith McClard, cousin Patrick Ernie Axley, uncle Dennis Asley, friend Trey Thompson and neighbor Edgar Mendez.
The family received friends 4pm to 7pm, Sunday, June 27th at Austin & Bell Funeral Home Springfield and on Monday, June 28th 12pm to 1pm at the funeral home.
Brent was born in Pensacola, FL on October 27, 1973 to Colleen Axley West. He worked as a Chef in the Restaurant Industry.
He is survived by his mother, Colleen West of Hendersonville, TN; brother, Brian West of Houston, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Michaels Catholic Church.

Obituary for Virginia Hunt
Virginia Evelyn Hunt, age 79 of Franklin, Tennessee, formerly of Ashland City, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at the Waters of Springfield.
Graveside services were conducted at EverRest of Cheatham in Pleasant View at 11:00AM on Friday, June 25th, with Bro. Garvin Claiborne officiating. Burial followed with Matt Pope, William Pope, Sterling Hunt, Wesley Head, Troy Head, Andy Daniel, Jackson Daniel, Mitch Kizer, and David Finch serving as pallbearers.
There was no public visitation at the funeral home prior to the graveside service.
Mrs. Hunt was born on October 31, 1941 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Lovell & Reba Murphy Stone. She was in the banking system for over 45 years. She loved watching her Atlanta Braves and was of the Church of Christ faith.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Frances Stone.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Jerry Hunt; brother, Thomas (Karen) Stone; sister, Linda (Donnie) Nicholson; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Obituary for James Oscar Applewhite
Age 76 of White House went home to be with the Lord Monday, June 21, 2021 at his home. He was born October 7, 1944 in Athens, GA to James Oscar Applewhite, II and Miriam Beckwith Applewhite. He worked as a civil engineer for TVA until his retirement. Mr. Applewhite proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Hendersonville.
He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lynda Applewhite, White House, TN; son, Kevin (Sarah) Applewhite, Belmont, Massachusetts; daughter, Kelly (Tim) Amyx, White House, TN; brother, Gary (Janice) Applewhite, Salisbury, NC; sister, Ann (John) Clifford, Newport News, VA; 2 grandchildren, Ryan Applewhite and Jason Applewhite.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, July 17, 2021 at First Presbyterian Church in Hendersonville at 11am. Visitation with the family is planned for Saturday, July 17, 2021 9am until the time of the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Hendersonville in his memory
