Philip Bertram Smith, Jr., age 81, departed us to be united with his Heavenly Father and Savior on Thursday, August 26, 2021.  Phil was born the 18th of July 1940 to Philip B. Smith and Cornelia Pearce Smith.

Phil was born and lifted in Houston, Texas in which he graduated Lamar Higher University in 1958.  Phil’s most treasured reminiscences, when escalating up in Houston, ended up expending time with his beloved grandparents.  He attended Davidson School where by he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and ROTC.   He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts diploma in History.   He put in many school summers working as a ranch hand in Montana which sparked a lifelong really like of the outside and tending to animals.  Just after graduating from Davidson School, Phil joined the Army and served as a tank commander stationed in Fort Hood, Texas.  He reached the rank of Captain and later served in the 36th Infantry of the Texas Military Countrywide Guard right up until 1969. 

In 1963, Phil married Patricia Ann Haas and relocated back again to Houston, Texas where he began his family.  Phil and Pat experienced a few small children with each other, Philip, Stephen and Renee Clark.   After graduating from South Texas Higher education of Law, he joined the legislation agency of Vinson & Elkins as an affiliate in its oil/fuel/authentic estate section.  In 1976, Phil and his family relocated to Dallas the place he continued his

Philip Bertram Smith, Jr., age 81, departed us to be united with his Heavenly Father and Savior on Thursday, August 26, 2021. Phil was born the 18th of July 1940 to Philip B. Smith and Cornelia Pearce Smith.

Phil was born and raised in Houston, Texas in which he graduated Lamar Large School in 1958. Phil’s most treasured recollections, while growing up in Houston, were being expending time with his beloved grandparents. He attended Davidson College or university in which he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and ROTC. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Heritage. He spent many college or university summers working as a ranch hand in Montana which sparked a lifelong enjoy of the outdoor and tending to animals. Following graduating from Davidson Higher education, Phil joined the Military and served as a tank commander stationed in Fort Hood, Texas. He obtained the rank of Captain and later on served in the 36th Infantry of the Texas Military National Guard right until 1969.
