Jennifer Alice Peters | Obituaries

JANE LEW, W.Va. (WV News) — Jennifer Alice Peters, 70, of Weston slipped gently into the arms of the Lord to sign up for individuals who experienced long gone just before her on August 31, 2021. She passed unexpectedly in the comfort of her personal property.

Jennifer was born in Weston on June 9, 1951, a daughter of the late Brooks Moody Sr. and Ruth Leora Taylor Moody.

She was greeted by her loving husband of just about 49 decades, Kenneth “Pete” Earl Peters. They have been married on October 25, 1969, and Jennifer missed him dearly immediately after his passing on June 23, 2019.

In addition to her mothers and fathers and husband, Jennifer was preceded in death by a person brother, Raymond Moody.

Eternally cherishing their memories of Jennifer are two small children, Tracy Duncan and spouse, Jack, and Mark Peters, equally of Horner 4 grandchildren: Taylor Beckner and partner, Tyler, of Weston, Olivea Duncan of Horner, Makenzie Smith of Ireland, and Bethany Smith of Clarksburg two good-grandchildren, Madilynn “Gracie” Beckner and Kora Beckner two brothers, Brooks Moody Jr, and wife, Patricia, and Dana Moody and wife, Wanda just one sister-in-regulation, Nancy Moody mother-of-the-coronary heart, Mildred Casto and quite a few nieces and nephews.

Soon after graduating from Lewis County High College in 1969, Jennifer ongoing her education and learning and attended nursing university at Salem Global College-Tokyo.

Betty A. Goines Kogut, 92, of Pine Grove, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 surrounded by her family at Geisinger St. Luke’s in Orwigsburg.

Born on October 15, 1928 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Vernon and Eva Moody.

Betty was a waitress and a homemaker. She enjoyed going to yard sales and the Salvation Army.

She was the last member of her immediate family.

Preceding her in death were her first husband, John Aaron Goines, Sr., her second husband, Walter J. Kogut, and a daughter Dianne Goines.

Surviving are two sons, John Goines, Jr. of Pine Grove, David Goines Sr. and wife Gerri of Cressona; five grandchildren, Scott Goines of Mar Lin, Daniel Goines of Wesley Chapel, FL, David Goines, Jr. of Pompano Beach, FL, Stacey Goines of Schuylkill Haven, and Erin Goines of Columbia; and nine great grandchildren.

All Services will be held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Barry Spatz officiating. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the Salvation Army, 2211 East Cumberland St., Lebanon, Pa. 17042 in her memory.

Edgerton, WI – Kevin Charles Pope, son of Charles “Chico” and Dawn Pope, entered this environment on March 15, 1977 and departed August 17, 2021, to the arms of our Lord.

Kevin attended his initial 4 yrs of elementary college in Milwaukee, then attended university in Edgerton. He graduated from Edgerton Large Faculty in 1995. Kevin excelled in all sporting activities. He qualified for several regional and countrywide junior wrestling tournaments, and gained numerous of them. He lettered in soccer, basketball, and baseball at Edgerton. He played football at UW Whitewater for 2 several years, just before joining his relatives working at the Buckhorn Supper Club in 1997.

Kevin relished quite a few experiences in his shortened lifetime. Kevin, together with his spouse and children, traveled to Peru to visit his Peruvian sister, Elena. Though there, he visited Machu Picchu, and used 3 days checking out the Amazon Jungle. Kevin seriously loved quite a few visits to our nation’s Funds, from the Smithsonian Museums, to peering out around the National Mall from the balcony in the Speaker of the House’s office, and to Arlington National Cemetery witnessing the shifting of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Isaiah Christopher Webb, Nez Perce Tribal member, age 25, our beloved son, brother, nephew and good friend, still left us Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021.

Isaiah was born Might 7, 1996, “Chris’ miracle infant,” in Lewiston to Christopher Lee Webb and Vanessa Lea Henry. Isaiah attended Lapwai Elementary and graduated from Lapwai Large Faculty in 2014.

Isaiah will be remembered for his musical skills, intelligent wit and infectious smile. He experienced these types of a compassionate spirit and form, loving heart. He took delight in being a very good son, brother, uncle, grandson, cousin, close friend, co-employee and godfather. He beloved investing time jamming and actively playing video clip online games with his pals. He loved actively playing pool at PK’s and placed next with his father, Chris, in the Valley Pool League.

Mary Lou Rogers, 95, of Geraldine, passed away Monday, Aug. 9, 2021, at Marshall Clinical Center South.

Survivors include her sons, Dennis Lawayne Rogers and late spouse Margaret Rogers, of Geraldine, Jackie Neal Rogers and wife Shirley Rogers, of Geraldine, Charles Lavaughn Rogers and wife Anita Rogers, of Sand Rock, and Phillip Earl Rogers and spouse Kathy Rogers, of Geraldine daughters, Brenda Gail Harper and husband Phillip Harper, of Portion, Mary Anna Williams and partner Steve Williams, of Whiton, and Martha Ann Barrett and late spouse Doyle Barrett, of Geraldine sister, Laura Faye Hanners, of Geraldine 14 grandchildren and 15 excellent-grandchildren.

She was preceded in loss of life by her partner, John R. Rogers mom and dad, Jim and Velma Peters brother, George Peters and sisters, Tempie Weaver, Opal White, Ola Centers, Eva Croft, Winnie Fraser, Dovie Peters and Lorene Nelson.
