Council on Getting older senior heart reopens July 6

BUCYRUS — The Crawford County Council on Getting older (COA) will reopen its doorways to senior citizens July 6. Things to do on the calendar in July will take location within the senior centre, 200 S. Spring St., Bucyrus, or at selected places close to the county.

The grand opening celebration from 1 to 3 p.m. on July 6 kicks off Patriotic Week at the senior center.

“I’m arranging a themed 7 days of enjoyable each month. In June we experienced Beach Social gathering Week where just about every action had a seashore/tropical theme. In July, we are getting a Patriotic Week celebrating Independence Working day, the Bucyrus Bicentennial and our reopening,” Functions Coordinator Courtney Moody mentioned.

The centre is closed Monday, July 5, in observance of Independence Working day. The grand opening celebration on July 6 will characteristic a totally free cookout and Mark’s Home made Ice Cream for seniors 55 and more mature.

On July 7 there will be a presentation on the 1928 Seagrave Engine #2 at 10:15 a.m. in the parking lot.
