OGALLALA | William W. Beamish, 78, handed away on Friday, August 13, 2021 at the Ogallala Group Healthcare facility.

William was born in Portland, Oregon on St. Patrick’s Working day 1943 to Warren and Gladys (Warren) Beamish. They later moved to Chadron, where he attended all his years of elementary and center school. On his superior faculty graduation from Chadron High University in 1962, he enlisted in the United States Navy wherever he proudly served for 4 yrs.

William married Betty Davis in 1967 and they had a few youngsters together, Rebecca, Vincent and Mark. They remained close friends to this day.

Immediately after discharging from the Navy and commencing his spouse and children, William spent virtually his overall career doing work as a Nursing Assistant for Fort Meade VAMC in Sturgis, SD. When he sooner or later retired, he had set in almost 40 several years with the Federal Govt.

William married Mary Eleanor in 1992 and they appreciated 29 excellent several years alongside one another. Soon after a few of cross state moves, 14 yrs back, they made a decision to place down roots in Ogallala and have loved each and every minute of it. William loved animals, massive and small. He generally reminisced about animals he had expanding up and was continuously involved about the welfare of abused animals. He liked to acquire photos, to prepare dinner and to accumulate cookbooks. He was a shopper. That man was constantly searching for a deal. He was recognised for telling a joke or two and even when his wellness started out to falter, he however failed to go wherever without having his top rated hat securely perched on his head.

He attended New Hope Church.

He is survived by his spouse, Mary daughter, Rebecca and her husband, Ryan Oatts of Ogallala his son, Mark Beamish of Ontario, Canada his sister, Bonnie and her partner, Butch Moody of Chadron his grandchildren, RJ and Zoey Oatts of Ogallala and 3 stepsons, Todd, Shawn and Kevin Marshall. He was preceded in dying by his parents, Warren and Gladys and his son, Vincent. Vaya con Dios

Visitation was held Aug. 17, at Draucker Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 18, with Pastor Matt Waitley officiating at the New Hope Worship Centre in Ogallala.

Interment will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 19, at Black Hills National Cemetery in the vicinity of Sturgis, South Dakota.
